Lightbulb Best ways of e-marketing your presence on line!

I have read recently about how important it is to get your name out there on youtube, myspace, facebook, digg and many other services. It is getting really tough to NOT KNOW how those services operate. What is going to be next???

I put a profile on youtube and I got some nice feedback yet the visitors were not from my area so it wasnt getting me new customers.

Myspace is for kids and after I created a profile I was hit with tons of SPAM so I quit...

Facebook is way too complicated and NOT user-friendly.

But I found a really good way to find new customers. CRAIGSLIST. I have been regularly posting on craigslist and I got 2 customers within one month.

Granted, most of those posts are about saving money, but it was worth it.

If you are not on craigslist - I recomend you spend some time and check it out:

Hello there! I have found MySpace to work depending on how much time you are on there and how you are marketing yourself. I haven't figured out the best way to use Facebook (its not too bad once you mess with it).

As for Craigslist, what did you post on there that got attention? Thanks so much!

Success on craigslist depends on your frequency of posting. I would post every day - making it a "morning" thing. I would specify exactly how much I charged in the subject along with something extra to encourage people.

*** $95 for 2 sessions + free nutritional consultation ***
*** 30% discount until Sunday + free nutritional consultation ***

One thing that helped was using HTML code in the craigslist post. As opposed to using simple text I would use images and tags to emphasize what I was offering. This way people know right away without having to read the entire message. On top of that, craigslist adds the "pic" sign next to the subject indicating there is a photo in the ad. People like to see photos.

You can also link to your website from Craigslist. This is one way to increase traffic to your own site.

Your ad must contain the following to be successful:

1. Value that relates to what people want rather than what you think they need.
2. Incentive ( call to action ) -> discounts that expire, extra offerings, buddy plans.
3. Easy to read content. Easy to see the value at a glance. Images are a big plus.

PhysicalFitnet - Free Webpages for Personal Trainers
1. Your subject needs to show value...currently it doesn't do that.
My suggestion:

"Personal training offer: Get Fit Today! Safe, certified, effective + FREE 30 minute massage!"

In your copy ( content ):
I think you get too technical. People don't care about most efficient cardio for weight loss or muscle gain nor do they care about weight lifting to keep up the metabolism...It's great that you want to share this information, but it will not get you new clients. I would rewrite it so that it gives people a reason to contact you. People want safety, efficacy, certification, proof that it will work. Be very brief too. Your ad is too wordy.

Give it a thought and put it here again.

Once someone told me that if you are selling something you should always be ready to present your pitch while in an elevator - 30 second pitch that conveys strengths and presents them in a way that will most influence the listener...
